On Tuesday several of our amazing Wolverines competed at the Morningside University 7th annual SMART high school math and science day! It was a great opportunity for our students to engage their math and science skills in friendly competition for the opportunity to win prizes, including scholarships to Morningside, and participate in interactive math/science activities with the Morningside faculty and staff.

Brooklyn Winkel, earned second place in chemistry and biology.

Second place in math went to Jonathon Anderson.

West High also got a third place team finish with Brooklyn Winkel, Ofelia Rivera, Alexandra Rippatoe, and Andy Lam.

Freshman Kim Nguyen and Emily Weber teamed up with junior Jonathan Anderson for a great showing also in the team competition.

Thank you to WHS Math teacher, Mrs. Jen Gengler, for organizing this opportunity for our students and accompanying them at the event!!!
